Williams Shakespeare once said “Heat not a furnace for your foe so hot that it do singe yourself”.
It is evident and obvious that Segun Adewale and his cohorts have burnt their political career in the attempt to disparage the structures of the party by taking some elders to court.
I am not a lawyer but coming out from a family of lawyers, I believe the suit filed is still res sub judice, meaning it’s still pending and not sub judice which is before any court of law. So, as I write now, it’s not assigned to any court .
Be that as it may, Mr Segun Adewale and some few Lagos for Lagos Assembly candidates went so low and took the party structure to court because the list of the names written as defendants are the party structure in Lagos. No individual or group on the list is not currently holding or has held party position as we speak.
So, it’s the party structure from national to state that is taken to court.
This is quite laughable because they’ve just given lawyers free meal because the suit filed by this group of dissidents is nothing but hogwash fit for LAWMA waste truck straight to Olusosun dump site.
Looking at the list of the strange bedfellow plaintiffs. When a lone ranger senatorial candidate could only gather few House of Assembly candidates of that meager number and lied that the entire PDP candidates are also part of the plaintiffs shows the level of his reasoning. I know that respected and groomed senatorial candidates, House of Representatives and other assembly will never be part of such absurdity. I wont be surprised if I see a rejoinder from them. No sensible person will want Segun Adewale to tag him or her to such unwarranted and doom to fail exploit.
Maybe they’ve forgotten that the same matter was thrown out of court when they tried to do a coup against the Lagos State Chairman, Elder Philip Aoviji, and the deputy chairman Benedict. They came back home with a black eye. This will not be different.
They’ve also shot themselves in their feet most especially at this time when it’s clearly stated in section 59 sub section K of 2017 PDP constitution as amended.
Internal party mechanism first is applied before taking any action.
Even the national body had given a standing order that all court cases be withdrawn but Mr Segun Adewale and the poor candidates he tagged along (surely those ones don’t know a clue of the gravity he has put them into) are wasting their time.
The same Segun Adewale worked against our party The People’s Democratic Party in 2018 in Ekiti by leading in the Frontline as a Gubernatorial candidate for ADP. While also claiming he was PDP in Lagos. Highest form of anti party.
He undermined PDP in that election and we lost to APC in Ekiti State.
He better get ready to take the whole National PDP to court because he has not only shown disregard and disrespect to the national and state body of the party but brought the party and its constitution into disrepute.
Such fellow still standing and rubbing mud on the party dismissal should commence ASAP by the national body and hopefully the process should start immediately.
This is the same person that went publicly to say he has resigned from PDP and even doesn’t want to have anything to do with South West PDP publicly on the loop.
Later, he came back and said Waziri Adamawa was begging him not to leave the party.
Who the heck is Segun Adewale to Atiku? You think Atiku didn’t know the atrocities they did in Lagos against him that he had a bad outing while with humongous fund he dissipated for these people yet they failed woefully. Same Atiku will beg you. Joker.
This is one of the greatest mistakes our party screening committee made during the screening of Mr Segun Adewale to ascertain whether he was back in our party or still a member of ADP.
We believe Alimosho local government should do the needful in their capacity to unravel his status as a member of this party.
If truly he hasn’t officially returned to our party right from the ward to local government and state. All privileges he had is null and void. It’s that simple.
You said Chief Bode George and Senator Kofoworola Bucknor Akerele worked against the party. Why not sue Omo Eko Pataki and Afenifere for their collective choice of Gubernatorial candidate.
Clowns.
His Neurons must be dysfunctional that he forgot he called me to talk to Chief Bode George to use part of the office of the property gotten by Chief Bode George for him to use as his West Senatorial Campaign Office (alongside Gubernatorial) which our Apex leader with his magnanimity and large heart accepted. This he used throughout till election day without one support to the campaign office. Same also an office was given by me to one of the plaintiffs, Adewale Omitade, also known as Cerrutti for his House of Assembly office in that complex. Yet you say they worked against the party.
What sort of ingrate and wicked souls we have in this party.
You must tell the court you used Chief Bode George’s property for you and the governorship candidate for campaign till election day. So, the court can see the kind of invalid case you brought before them.
The Local government Chairmen just stated the obvious about his kind of person and even from his own local government, both party members, leaders and party officials have given official statement on the lies against them. You have nothing to hold against these heroes of our party who said it as it is.
The simple question they’re asking is this. Did you disburse the election funds given to you to prosecute the party election through the party structure in West Senatorial? Was it properly disbursed or pocketed? Simple question. Whether you spent One naira or One million pre election is your own personal business.
I have contested before I know how much I spent in million even at House of Assembly level pre election and nobody “sent me any message” on how and why I spent my money. It’s expected of every candidate. That is your personal fund and not party’s election fund. So, don’t whip up sentiments you gave some people phone, TV. It’s your cup of tea. I did same too including phones during my time and other gifts.
Were you not also given money by the national for support and for campaign? All HORs and Senatorial Candidates got such support, so don’t play the victim and also play the Ostrich.
All they want is for you to be accountable. People that expected funds didn’t see it and you’re here saying you spent this and this pre election and you think that should justify alleged misappropriation.
The election fund is not for candidate except if some part is allocated only for the candidate. The rest should be disbursed through the structure in place and accounted for. That’s how it’s done and that’s why even winning your Ward or Local government in Alimosho has been a problem over two decades.
You think people are dumb. You can only fool some but not everyone.
Or you think you are talking to illiterates or touts you constantly relate with.
Politics is not about spending 5% in the eyes of the public in returns of 95% for one’s gain. Everyone knows West Senatorial is the largest senatorial district and comes with humongous election funds.
Just go and clear yourself. It’s that simple.
Less we forget that the same Segun Adewale went to meet the non indigene of the Labour party members for endorsement through Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour. Definitely in returns to also work for their candidates. How selfish can a man be. Or can they give you their votes without you returning a favour to support their own favour. A question you people need him to answer.
Most of us saw the video and it’s still available.
So the party shouldn’t be worried. We know their antecedents during Modu Sheriff and Makarfi saga when they tried to trouble the still waters. The came back with a bleeding nose. This will not be different.
The difference is this time, surely they’re on their way out of our party.
The only brotherly advise I can give Segun Adewale is always to be grateful to your helpers. If not, his case looks spiritual and self inflicting. He needs restitution. That may change his political misfortune. He should take my word to the bank.
And as for Mr Ola Apena.
In Yoruba culture and norms, some of us are brought up with pedigree to respect older persons so I will not really want to disparage him.
His kind of person and character is well known to the members of the party in Lagos. It’s not my fault if someone falls from grace to grass because of your inconsistency, disloyalty and stomach infrastructure as HE Ayo Fayose will always say about belle politics and belle politicians.
Even leaders from his local government has actually publicly dealt with Ola Apena personality in terms of having no electoral value and incapacity in terms of fund management. They know better anyway.
But it’s pertinent I correct some wrong information or misinformation he made about me. I was his boss at the Campaign Council irrespective of age and no one in the campaign council would say I didn’t put in my very best.
Calling someone like me who has been in this party for over two decades and also been a financial member of our party, contested and worked for the party at different positions and assignment a mole is nothing but laughable.
He said I was sidelined because I was working against the candidate.
Kindly ask him why was I not fired if I was working against the candidate. Or he has aged so much he forgot some blueprint I made for the campaign council. Radio interviews and newspaper interview to sell a horse you took to the river that refused to drink.
Where are the apex leaders you met there. Are they still there. No one with integrity will see falsehood and unbrittled tongue and stick there except people of your character who have thrown their dignity for a pot of pottage will still be hanging around a well scripted and well executed project to undermine PDP victory at the poll.
Ask yourself. Will it be more beneficial for me to undermine the candidate to lose or win?
I saw what you refused to see because you were carried away by what you think you benefit. At the end, was I not vindicated?
If my telling the truth to Jide which any of you couldn’t do is why you think I was sidelined or telling him to reconcile with the leaders and structure of the part is why you said I was sidelined or when I told him that he and Gbadebo need to sit and see how we can work things out with the help of the elders is why I was sideline, then, I think I stand tall and shoulder high that I did the right thing.
The problem with seniors like this is when crumbs are given, they don’t see far and don’t even care to see far.
It’s not about winning election for them. It’s all about the funds.
I can bet if Ola Apena was in my shoes when I resigned and the leadership of the APC got across to me with an open cheque to endorse Sanwo-Olu which I rejected bluntly, a character like Ola Apena would definitely have grabbed such absurd opportunity just for belle sake.
If we play politics, let’s add our Omoluabi to it.
How far has betrayal and ingratitude taken these people too. God does not sleep.
Chief Bode George made you known and put you on a pedestal to fly but you cut your own wings and prefer to walk. Do you blame Musa at the gate?
Now you’ve brought yourself to a low esteem under a former Gubernatorial candidate talking against and insulting long standing members and leaders of our party.
I still stand on my word that Jide Adediran is a mole in our party and I have given facts in my interview. Like someone said, he’s still oiling your palms. When the oil stop flowing, I won’t be surprised your next point of call to beg to be greased might even be your foe.
That is how far you’ve brought yourself sir.
The party will definitely reorganise itself with people of integrity and capacity to deliver.
So many vibrant young stars out there these guys have suppressed in their local governments due to their own greed.
And this is one of the core visions of Chief Bode George to build a strong foundation for the upcoming emerging leaders and not dealers of old.
And this is why you’re always against him because he is super transparent and want everyone to be accountable at all time. The man is blessed and fulfilled to have any interest in past fund. He usually adds to it.
This is well known to all. The days of robbery is over and that has gone with this last election.
Everyone must be accountable.
Enough of serial election fund grabbing candidates and leaders who have no electoral value even in their ward to come near the seat of decision making.
This is the way to go if we must win Lagos.
Honesty and integrity is key.
May our party succeed.
