The Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Tunde Abdulrahman, has attributed the team’s relegation to the many crises during the season.
Abdulrahman said, on Tuesday in Ilorin that part of the crises that rocked the team was that he was not given a free hand to sign-on players.
“I was not allowed to sign on quality players that can compete at the Premier League. The midseason that we are supposed to recruit good finishers, we didn’t do it.
“We did not recruit good players and again the team let some good hands to leave before I came and we didn’t replace them.

“It is unfortunate that the players we had were not able cope with the Premier League.

“I can say this in front of anyone, the registration of players was done without my knowledge; the players I selected were not registered,’’ Abdulrahman.

Abdulrahman said he only signed for a season with the team and that the extension would depend on the club’s management and government.

Kwara United scored twice in a second to beat Ifeanyi Ubah 2-0 on the final day of the season but failed muster enough points to overcome relegation.
