Youth corp member killed in Ilorin

Police detectives in Ilorin, Kwara State are battling to unravel the circumstances surrounding the murder of a youth corp member, Yetunde Idowu.
She was found dead on Sunday night at GRA, Ilorin.
A source told Freedom Online that she had gone to Shoprite on Saturday to purchase a few items and “was probably given a free ride by some unknown people”.
Idowu, an indigene of Ogun State, was a member of the 2014 Batch B set in the North-Central state.
It was when her colleagues did not see her on Saturday night that the state police command was informed.
Freedom Online learned that family members had told the police that the corpse should be released for burial.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident. He said the matter is being investigated.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the state National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Oladipo Morakinyo, described the incident as unfortunate. He said her family members had been contacted.
