football_goalRelatively unknown Nigerian top striker, Leke James, was Aalesund’s hero in Norway as he scored the winner at Tromso at the weekend.

Aalesund won 2-1 and are now third on the league table with 34 points.

Leke’s match winner was a 23rd minute header from a corner kick.

He stated that he now wishes to score at least 15 goals this season.

“I feel so happy to score the winning goal in such an important and tough game. I dedicate the goal to God who made it possible for me to score,” James said.

“My target is to score 15 goals this season, I also want to help my club win a ticket to the Europa League next season.”

He has thus far scored eight goals.

Right back Akeem Latifu, who was on from start to finish for Aalesund, said they will build on this crucial win.

“It was a tough game, but we got the three points, we will build on this performance,” he assured.
