UBA partners Vodacom for Data, Broadband, joins Global Premium Customer Club.

In an effort to better serve its numerous customers globally, leading Pan-African Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, has partnered with Vodacom for data and broadband communications. The business relationship, which is handled locally through Vodacom Business Nigeria; the wholly owned subsidiary of Vodacom, enables UBA to seamlessly interconnect business offices and ATMs and to generally deploy financial services across the Group.
As a result of the scope and scale of the partnership, UBA has become a Vodafone Global Enterprise Customer, becoming the first financial institution of Nigerian origin to join the elite list of companies such as General Electric (GE), Apple and Microsoft.
During the ceremony to formally present the certificate of recognition as a Vodafone Global Enterprise Customer to UBA, Guy Clarke, Managing Director, Vodacom Business Nigeria commended UBA for the leading role it is playing on the continents’ financial landscape.
“Having UBA as a global enterprise customer shows the growth of African companies and the progress in taking their place in the global marketplace. UBA has continuously demonstrated the ability to leverage its capabilities and IT infrastructure to exponentially grow its business across Africa” he said.
Explaining the benefits of membership of the premium club of customers, Clarke stated that “UBA will have a dedicated team of enterprise specialists to provide effective business communications solutions with requisite service level that will enable the bank to have a single view of its communications, differentiate from peers and scale up its ability to offer bespoke financial services to customers”.
“UBA will leverage on this milestone recognition and its associated benefits, to significantly improve the efficiency of its operations and processes as well as optimize costs,” noted the Group Managing Director/CEO of UBA Plc, Mr. Phillips Oduoza, in his remarks on the occasion.
