Justice Evelyn Anyadike of the Federal High Court, Kano, on Thursday, remanded former Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State and his two sons, Aminu Sule Lamido and Mustapha Sule Lamido, in prison till September 28.
She directed that they be taken to Kano Prisons until the date when their bail application will be heard.
The former governor, his two sons and one Aminu Wada Abubakar were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (INEC) on a 28-count charge involving N1.351 billion.
Justice Anyadike rejected the pleas of the defence counsel, Effiong Effiong (SAN), that the accused be remanded in EFCC custody, saying the commission had complained of inadequate facilities.
