Rangers International Football Club of Enugu on Sunday in Maseru defeated hosts Bantu FC of Lesotho 2-1 in a Second Round of 16 fixture in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

In the first leg game played at Leshoboro Seeiso Sports Complex in Mafeteng, Rangers took the lead in the 20th minute through Bright Silas.

The reigning Aiteo Cup champions scored their second goal through Aguda Godwin in the 87th minute.

Rangers will have a chance to seal qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage when they host Bantu FC in the second leg game.

The match will be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Saturday, and the 2-1 advantage means they already have a foot in the group stage draw.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side had beaten Defence Force FC of Ethiopia and USM bel Abbes of Algeria in previous qualification rounds.
