‘Ajimobi will defeat his challengers’

From Bode Durojaiye, Oyo.

Voters in Oyo State have been asked not to be distracted by propaganda from frustrated politicians but to re-elect the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abiola Ajimobi, whose incumbent leadership does not only understand real development but places the people as fulcrum of sustainable democratic governance in the last four years.
Among those challenging Ajimobi are Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, Senator Teslim Folarin and Otunba Seyi Makinde.
Chairman, Senator Abiola Ajimobi Re-election Movement (SAREM), Akinrogun Segun Taiwo, who made the call at a press conference in Oyo town, also said workers should reciprocate the governor’ s innovations towards civil and public service transformations.,
“Since the inception of the present administration, all forms of fraudulent practices through payment of salaries to ghost workers running into millions of naira monthly had disappeared. This is as a result of introduction of e-payment system.’’
Lambasting the opposition for their orchestrated campaigns that the incumbent refused to pay salaries of workers, Taiwo noted that those milling such rumours are “undesirable elements’’, insisting that sane citizens know how the outgoing Goodluck Jonathan administration has been desperately victimising APC-controlled states, starving
them of funds .
“Despite the difficult situation, all categories of teachers have
gotten their salaries up till February, thus remaining March which has just ended”.
On why Ajimobi deserves a second term, the SAREM chairman highlighted some of his achievements to include roads dualisation in Ibadan, Oyo, Ogbomoso, Iseyin and Saki which had been abandoned for over 30 years by previous administrations , 100 per cent consolidated salaries for
health workers, promotions and regular payment of arrears, and reconstruction of Isuwin Bridge at Isale-Oyo.
